1] Jr Lawer – Metropolitan Magistrate

Position Overview: RKS Associate, a prominent law firm in Mumbai, India, is seeking a skilled and experienced lawyer to join our team. As a lawyer, you will primarily focus on handling cases in the Mumbai Metropolitan Magistrate’s court across Mumbai. The ideal candidate should possess 2-3 years of relevant experience in the mentioned court and demonstrate strong legal skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Represent clients in the Mumbai Metropolitan Magistrate’s court and handle their legal matters.
  2. Conduct thorough legal research, analyze case precedents, and provide legal advice to clients.
  3. Prepare and draft complaints, petitions, replies, and evidences in accordance with applicable laws and court procedures.
  4. Attend court hearings, present arguments, examine witnesses, and cross-examine opposing parties.
  5. Assist in negotiation and settlement discussions, aiming to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, records, and documentation.
  7. Collaborate with senior lawyers and legal professionals within the firm to develop effective legal strategies.
  8. Stay updated on new laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the Mumbai Metropolitan Magistrate’s court.
  9. Provide regular updates and reports to clients regarding the progress of their cases.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all legal activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
  2. Bar Council of India registration and valid license to practice law in Mumbai, India.
  3. 2-3 years of experience practicing law in the Mumbai Metropolitan Magistrate’s court across Mumbai.
  4. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within given deadlines.

2] HC & NCLT – Lawyer

Job Description:

RKS Associate, a prominent law firm based in Mumbai, is seeking an experienced and skilled Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience practicing law in the Bombay High Court and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle litigation matters in the Bombay High Court and the NCLT, including drafting and filing suits, petitions, applications, written statements, and evidences.
  2. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  3. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters pertaining to the Company’s Act, Contract Law, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), and other relevant statutes.
  4. Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and other legal documents as required.
  5. Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and negotiations.
  6. Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation.
  7. Stay updated on legal developments, amendments, and case laws relevant to the areas of practice.
  8. Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, clients, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  10. Assist senior lawyers and partners in complex cases and legal matters.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
  2. Enrollment with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
  3. Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience practicing law in the Bombay High Court and the NCLT.
  4. Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
